YouTube Gaming was a video live streaming service from YouTube (a subsidiary of Google) with a heavy emphasis on video games and esports. It was announced on June 12, 2015[2] and released on August 26 later that year[1][3] for Android, iOS, and the web. It mirrored a lot of the features that Twitch offered.[citation needed] Due to lack of usage, it was eventually discontinued in September 2018, with most of its features being migrated to the main YouTube website.[4][5]
