Google Wallet is a payment processing service from Google formerly known as Google Checkout. It is the underlying payment provider for Google Storage, Google Play and Google App Engine.
In many aspects, it is similar to PayPal: users can purchase items with Google Wallet, and merchants can receive cash from Google Wallet customers. Google has also given merchants who use Wallet a special icon in sponsored search results.
