Google Capital Founded in 2013, it focuses on larger, growth-stage technology companies, and invests for profit rather than strategically for Google. The fund began operating in 2013 but was only officially unveiled on February 19, 2014. The firm operates out of the Googleplex in Mountain View and has an annual investing target of approximately $300 million. Following the Alphabet restructure, Google Capital was renamed as CapitalG on November 4, 2016.
