Google is a computer software and Internet search engine company that acquired an average of more than one company per week in 2010 and 2011.

Many google products were originally acquisitions. For example, JotSpot was acquired in 2006 and turned into what we now know as Google Sites.


Notable Acquisitions[]

In October 2006, Google announced that it had acquired YouTube for $1.65 billion in Google stock.

On August 15, 2011, Google made its largest-ever acquisition to date when it announced that it would acquire Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion.

In June 2013, Google acquired Waze, a $966 million deal.

On January 26, 2014, Google announced it had agreed to acquire DeepMind Technologies, an AI company.
